Grgich Hills Estate was founded in 1977 by Miljenko Mike Grgich and Austin Hills after Mike's 1973 Chardonnay outscored the best of France in the now-famous 1976 Paris Tasting, a competition which revolutionized the wine world. In recognition of his pioneering lifetime achievements, Mike was inducted into the Vintners Hall of Fame in 2008. We farm 366 acres naturally and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced, and elegant wines.
